Refund Policy
1. Overview
SilentEra AI Voice ("SilentEra", "we", "our", or "us") sells access to digital services, including prepaid credits used for AI text-to-speech generation and an optional monthly Pro subscription that includes a recurring credit allotment plus a bonus on top-up purchases while active. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available and how to request help. It applies together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of Purchases
Credits and subscription entitlements are digital content delivered electronically. In many jurisdictions, statutory withdrawal rights for digital goods may not apply once performance has begun or content has been supplied — with your consent. By purchasing, you acknowledge that credits may be consumed immediately upon successful generation and that unused balances remain subject to this policy and platform rules.
3. Purchases Through App Stores
If you buy credit packs or a Pro subscription through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another mobile storefront, billing and refund decisions are primarily governed by that platform and its policies. To request a refund for an in-app purchase, use the refund or report-a-problem flow in the store where you paid. We do not control whether the store approves a refund, but we will cooperate with valid requests from the platform when required.
4. Purchases on the Web or Desktop
Web and desktop purchases on silentera.media and the SilentEra desktop client are processed by Paddle acting as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, tax collection where applicable, and invoices. Refunds — if any — follow the checkout terms shown at purchase and the policies of the payment processor and the underlying card network. Unless we state otherwise at checkout, digital credits are generally non-refundable after delivery, except where law requires otherwise or we choose to grant a goodwill credit.
5. Subscription Cancellation and Renewal Charges
- You can cancel the Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.
- Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund the most recent renewal charge. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial usage of a billing period unless required by applicable law or platform policy.
- If you believe a renewal charge was unintended (for example, you never used the service after a renewal and were unaware of the auto-renewal), please contact us within a reasonable time so we can investigate with the relevant store or processor.
- Top-up credit packs purchased separately are unaffected by subscription cancellation and remain in your account until consumed.
6. When We May Issue a Refund or Credit
We may, at our discretion or where required by law, offer a refund, reversal, or account credit if:
- A verified technical failure on our side prevented you from using legitimately purchased credits.
- You were charged incorrectly or duplicated due to a processing error we confirm.
- Mandatory consumer protection law in your country grants you a right we cannot contract away.
We typically do not refund purchases solely because you changed your mind, unused credits remain in your account, or you violated our Terms of Service.
7. How to Contact Us
For billing questions, mistaken charges, or refund requests outside the app stores, email contact@silentera.media from the address associated with your account. Include your store order ID or Paddle receipt where applicable. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and may ask for additional information to verify your purchase.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so we can try to resolve the issue. Unresolved or abusive disputes may lead to suspension of your account and loss of access to unused credits, as permitted by law and our Terms of Service.
9. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
